Mr. Argañaraz Luque joined Allende & Brea in 2003 and became a partner in 2007. He is the head of the insurance & reinsurance team and specializes in insurance, reinsurance, commercial litigation and international arbitration. He has been lately involved in insurance and reinsurance regulatory issues and mergers and acquisitions of both insurance and reinsurance companies. He graduated from the "Universidad Católica Argentina Argentina" in 1998.

His work is focused on advising general and life insurance companies, reinsurers, insurance consultants, brokers and companies, both local and foreign, and foreign law offices, on these matters.

In 1999 and 2000, he worked at the London offices of Clyde & Co and of SNR Denton (formerly Wilde Sapte) on insurance and reinsurance proceedings mostly related to Latin America. In 2003 and 2004, he trained with international reinsurance disputes in English law firms such as Clyde & Co (formerly Barlow, Lyde & Gilbert) and Hogan Lovells.

Over the years, he has been involved in international commercial litigation and reinsurance arbitration. Further he has drafted and adapted reinsurance contracts, life insurance policies, A&H, civil liability, D&O, E&O, BBB, Crime, environmental insurance, cyber risks and public officers coverage for major international insurers and reinsurers.

In 1999, he was an intern at the International Maritime Organization - UN (London - UK) to practice marine insurance. In 2000 he was called by Lloyd's of London to work, together with its international and legal departments, on a project submitted to the Argentine Superintendence of Insurance to obtain the registration of Lloyd's in Argentina as a sole reinsurance entity. At Lloyd's of London, he attended the "Regulator's Programme", which was intended for having insurance superintendents from several countries get to know how the Lloyd's market operates. In February 2013 he was appointed attorney-in-fact for Lloyd's of London in Argentina.

He is a graduate professor of insurance law at "Universidad Católica Argentina", and a post-graduate professor at "Universidad del Salvador" (2008), "Universidad Caece" (2009 and 2010), "Universidad Católica Argentina" and "Universidad de San Andrés".

He lectured both in the country and abroad, with his outstanding lectures being at The School of Risk Management, Insurance & Actuarial Science at St. John's University, New York, United States of America (2009); Barlow, Lyde & Gilbert, London, United Kingdom (2010); and at the Old Library of the Lloyd's of London, London, United Kingdom (2011, 2012 and 2013) and at the International Underwriting Association, London, United Kingdom (2012 and 2013), where he talked about the Latin American insurance and reinsurance market and the amendment to the reinsurance regime in Argentina that took place beginning February 2011.

In 2007 he was the co-author of the Argentine chapter of "Directors' liability and Indemnification", published by Global Business Publishing Ltd.(UK) and in 2008, of "Seguros" published by La Ley.

Mr. Argañaraz Luque is a member of the insurance committee of the International Bar Association (Scholar Conference of SBL Cancun – Mexico 2001 and Durban - South Africa 2002); the American Chamber of Commerce - Insurance Committee (Vice President in 2009 and 2010); the Society of British and Argentine Lawyers (SOBAL); the Insurance Lawyers Club; the Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (A.I.D.A.), of Insuralex and the Argentine Association of Risk Managers (ADARA).

He is the editor of the insurance and reinsurance supplement of www.eldial.com and makes monthly contributions to the insurance magazine "Estrategas de la Banca y del Seguro".

He has been appointed leader professional in Insurance and Reinsurance Law by internationally known publications such as Chambers & Partners Latin America, The Legal 500 Latin America, Who's Who Legal and LATAMIR Insurance Review.
